Job Description
Overall objective
The Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) Business Expert’s role is to ensure proper implementation of the WEE projects in Qalqilya and Salfit Governorates. Under the direct supervision of Women Economic Empowerment Project manager (WEE PM) and in close coordination with the Business Officer employed by Women for Life (WfL), the primary responsibilities of the Business Expert are to ensure efficient implementation and follow-up of the project activities related to Business as per the agreement between PU-AMI and WfL.
Tasks and Responsibilities
1-Responsible for the following activities as per the agreement between WFL and PU-AMI. This includes and is not limited to
-Support the Implementation of a Capacity Building Program for Community Based Organization (CBO) members in Qalqilya and Salfit Governorates
-Support the on-line business development and job opportunities web service and promote the website through networking with relevant parties including the private sector and Commercial chambers
-Support and facilitate 2 regional clubs for women in Salfit and Qalqilya Governorates
-Support the carrying out of one regional inter-enterprise forum that will gather entrepreneurs running businesses of various sizes in Salfit and Qalqilya governorates.
-Developing and delivering trainings to build the capacity of WfL and local CBOs towards employability and business taking into account the women with disabilities.
-Support the consultant who will be recruited to conduct one market study to identify market opportunities.
-Support the creation and mentorship of the beneficiaries receiving the 60 professional tool kit (PTK) to establish micro or small businesses in Qalqilya and Salfit governorates through conducting regular field visits to each of the trageted beneficiaries.
2-Supporting WFL’s Business Officer capacity through trainings.
3-External coordination: Coordination and networking with key stakeholders such as Chambers of commercial, Governor’s offices in Qalqilya and Salfit, GOs (MoSA, MOL, MOWA, etc), NGOs, disabled union, etc.
4-Internal coordination with different PU-AMI departments as requested by WEE PM.
5-Reporting on the project activities including the progress and final reports as well as follow up training reports with implementing party and any reports requested as per the project requirements in close coordination with WEE PM.

Duty Station
This position is based in PU-AMI Field Office in Nablus with (nearly) daily travel throughout the Qalqilya and Salfit governorates.
Required Profile
Required knowledge and skills
-Bachelor degree preferably in the field of Business administration, Education, Management and Administration or related field.
-Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in related fields with a focus in Small Business Projects
-Previous work experience with international NGOs will be preferred.
-Valid and clean driving license.
Required Personal Characteristics (fitting into the team, suitability for the job and assignment)
-Good knowledge of North West Bank villages and ability of movement in the field.
-Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member in complex and often difficult operating environments
-Ability to independently organize work and prioritize tasks
-Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English
-Professionalism, presentation, communication and networking skills.
-Ability to work under pressure.
-Ability to work with various partners, in a spirit of openness, and with adaptable communications strategies
-Ability to write reports and follow-up execution of projects’ activities.
-Self-motivated, diplomat, honest, highly responsible, and punctual
-Computer skills, in particular MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Project and the Internet
