Job Description

PREMIERE-URGENCE - AIDE MEDICALE INTERNATIONAL (PU-AMI) is an international, apolitical, non-religious and non-profit french organization intervening in 20 countries worldwide to provide a global response on the fundamental needs to victims of humanitarian crisis from the emergency to the restoration of their autonomy and dignity. Première-Urgence and Aide Médicale Internationale merged in 2011 to offer a better range of lifesaving care and life-changing assistance to communities affected by humanitarian crisis.

Overall objective

The Women Economic Empowerment (WEE) Project Manager’s Role is to facilitate the coordination between PU-AMI and WfL and to support WfL in the implementation of the project. Under the direct supervision of PU-AMI Field Coordinator, the primary responsibilities of the Project Manager are to ensure efficient implementation and follow-up of the project activities, supervise the team in implementing the activities, and facilitate the communication and cooperation between PU-AMI and WfL teams.

Tasks and Responsibilities
-Ensure efficient implementation and follow-up of the project activities through WfL team based on the planned timeline   ;
-Monitor achievement of agreed partners milestones through weekly/monthly planning meetings using agreed work-plans and provide periodic updates to the WBFCo
-Support WfL staff in the implementation of the various project’s activities
-Support WfL staff in the development of action plans for the activities
-Monitor partners’ performance during projects’ implementation and contribute to building partners capacity where necessary through providing directly, or organizing, training in relevant areas of weakness (financial, logistical, funding, project cycle management).
-Establishing an efficient networking with the local CBO and their members
-Coordination on the ground with implementing partners, communities and other actors of the projects to avoid any duplication and facilitate cooperation;
-Work jointly with WfL and PU-AMI communication department in managing the communication and visibility events
-Follow-up the research and study works done by consultants in the frame of the project
-Represent the project in meetings with donors and stakeholders, as assigned by PU-AMI Field Coordinator
-Contribute to the writing of the quarterly, intermediary and final reports to the donor in collaboration with PU-AMI Field Coordinator

Duty Station

This position is based in PU-AMI Field Office in Nablus with (nearly) daily travel throughout the West Bank, especially in Beddia (WfL office) and continuous travel to Ramallah to participate in meetings.

Required Profile

Required knowledge and skills
-Bachelor degree preferably in the field of Social Studies, Business administration, Education, Management and Administration or related field.
-Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in related fields with a focus in gender
-Previous work experience with international NGOs will be preferred.
-Valid and clean driving license.

 

Required Personal Characteristics (fitting into the team, suitability for the job and assignment)
-Good knowledge of North West Bank villages and ability of movement in the field.
-Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member in complex and often difficult operating environments
-Ability to independently organize work and prioritize tasks
-Fluency in written and spoken Arabic and English
-Professionalism, presentation, communication and networking skills.
-Ability to work under pressure.
-Ability to work with various partners, in a spirit of openness,  and with adaptable communications strategies
-Ability to write reports and follow-up execution of projects’ activities.
-Self-motivated, diplomat, honest, highly responsible, and punctual
-Computer skills, in particular MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Project and the Internet
