Job Description
Position: Zan Women’s Centre Manager
Location: South Hebron (Dora), with travel throughout Palestine
Starting Date: Immediately
Partners for Sustainable Development (PSD) is a Palestinian NGO working towards applying sustainable development approaches in community and economic development. PSD’s programs are implemented through a network of Community learning and Development Centres (CLDCs) located in Jenin, Salfeet, Nablus, Bethlehem, Hebron and South Hebron. PSD through its Unique Zan Women’s Centre in Dora provides women with the necessary means to fully participate within their communities’ economic and social spheres.
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Zan Women’s Center Manager will be based in Dora and she will be responsible maintaining an effective and efficient workplace and is also a key player in the task of linking the Zan Women’s Center to the local community. The manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the office, managing the work of all trainers and support staff.
TASKS
-Responsible for day-to-day management of office and other administrative duties related to an effective and efficient workplace.
-Create a strong network and partnerships between the Zan Women’s Center and local Community Based Organizations, Governmental Bodies, Private Organizations, beneficiaries (with a focus on women) and partner organizations.
-Manage the work of all Trainers and Support Staff associated with the Zan Women’s Centre to include recruitment, training, support and reviews.
-Provide financial management including the creation of financial forecasts, and monthly financial reports in coordination with Finance officer in Ramallah.
-Provide oversight to ensure the timely achievement of Women's Economic Development project goals as stated in the project document.
-Coordinate with Women Business Training.
-Follow up with Women Groups.
-Conduct community-based research and provide ideas for new program development.
-Create articles and photographs for newsletters, websites and other PR materials.
-Participate actively in monthly staff meetings/workshops and provide input on new activities, partnerships and program development.
-Carry out any other tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
-2 years of experience managing projects.
-Knowledge of microfinance.
-Excellent spoken and communication skills in Arabic and English Language.
-An eye for detail orientation to ensure Quality is never compromised.
-Excellent writing and communication skills.
-Proficient computer skills
-Demonstrated teamwork project and staff management skills, both on site and at a distance
-Proven ability to handle high-volumes of work and manage multiple projects within tight and sometime shifting deadlines
-Must be a highly organized self-starter, self reliant, detail oriented with good initiative.
-BA in Community Development, Women studies, Business Administration or any related social science degree.
-Must be a female candidate.
