Médecins Du Monde-France (MDM-F) is a medical international nongovernmental organization (NGO), which has been present in the Palestinian Territories since 1995. It operates in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank through offices located in Jerusalem, Gaza and Nablus. Médecins du Monde-France (MDM-F) is looking for experienced motivated candidates to work within its teams in Jerusalem and Gaza offices in the following positions:
Medical Coordinator Assistant, Jerusalem
Duration: 10 months - renewable
Main duties
- Assists and cooperates in implementing MDM programs in the Palestinian Territories.
- Contributes to monitoring the general health situation in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
- Assists in regularly assessing the progress of current programs and their relevance in relation to the objectives set and to changes in the health
- situation in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.• Collects and computerises data, indicators, surveys and assessments according to the mission’s needs.
- Realizes statistics according to the information collected in the different locations.
- Suggests initiatives to improve the functioning of MDM medical activities, participates in the development of the strategy and in drafting proposals
- of operations for new projects.
- Assists the medical coordinator in networking with other health actors.
- Participates in the reports writing system of MDM-F.
- Takes part in advocacy and communication activities under the supervision of the medical coordinator.
- Suitable medical background.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
- Familiar to NGOs principles.
- Professional command of English language (both written and spoken)
- Good writing, communication and computer skills.
- Familiarity with the theory and the practice of the health development approach is an asset.
- Jerusalem ID holder would be an asset.

Nurse (Emergency trainer), Gaza
Duration: 10 months - renewable
Main duties
- Conducts Emergency and Basic Life Support (BLS) training to Ministry of Health (MoH) paramedical staff, under supervision of Base Medical Manager.
- Conducts community-based BLS training on request.
- Assists in organizing training sessions and workshops together with other national and international partners.
- Reports and follows up of training activities.
- Works in assistance to the MoH team at the PHCC, with other partners and together with the MDM team; special focus on relationship with the patient.
- Supervises and participates in collection and systematization of data at the PHCC supported by MDM.
- Registered nurse.
- Experience in PHCC is an asset.
- Experience in training and pedagogic skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team.
- Good command of English language (both written and spoken).

Health Educator, Gaza
Duration: 10 months - renewable
Main duties
- Organizes and conducts independently or together with the MDM and / or MoH teams health promotion and health education activities, and passes health messages at the PHCC and in the community (schools, women’s organizations etc).
- Reinforces outreach activities independently and together with the MDM and / or MoH nurse, identifies cases and conducts home visits.
- Organizes and conducts awareness campaigns together with the MDM team and partners.
- Attends trainings in the field of community health and social work organized by MDM.
- Reports on weekly basis to the MDM nurse.
- Background in nursing.
- Experience in community work.
- Social openness and initiative.
- Pedagogic skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team.
- English language would be an asset.
