Website Designer Required

As part of the tertiary Education Project financed by the international Development Association(IDA) and the European Commission (EC), The Arab American University (AAUJ) has received a grant from the Quality Improvement Fund towards the cost of “Graduate tracing as a Means for self-assessment project” and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eleigable payments under the contract for highly qualified Website Developer.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

1-Design,build and maintain dynamic websites,using authoring or scripting languages.content creation tools,management toolsand digital media.

2-Write,design,or edit web page content,or direct others producing content.

3-writing web pages in a combination of codes,such as HTML,and XHTML,CSS.Javascript,Action  script,Cold Fusion, .net,Flash, o using code- generating programs such as Dreamweaver and Visual Studio.

4-Deciding on how images and other material will be digitally optimized and presented for the web.

5-Testing the site for functionality in different browsers and at different resolutions.

6-Fixing errors and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.

7-Incorporate technical considerations into web site design plans,such as budgets,epuipement ,performance requirements, or legal  issues including accessibility and privacy.the cost of “Graduate tracing as a Means for self-assessment project”.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPTENECIES:

1-Bachelor degree in computer engineering, or computer science or any  other related field.

2-Three years of direct professional experience in web page designing .

3- Excellent experience in Programming language:ASP.Net,PHP,JSP.

4-Excellent experience in database management systems:ORACLE 9i/10g,MySQL

5-Has agood creative mind,High grasping power,adaptability to changes.

6-Ability to work in a team

7-Bilingual language (Arabic + English)

8-Detailed-Oriented with the ability to work effectively without supervision and to take responsibility for end-to-end delivery to the client.
