Role Summary:
To handle complex accounting assignments that include interpreting and implementing policies and procedures, preparing and reviewing complex financial records, performing self-audit of financial transactions, analyzing and interpreting accounting data. Managing all aspects of the Accounts Payable Cycle and Fixed assets, AR, Inventory Cycle, prepare accounting transactions in compliance with IAS, in addition to prepare various year-end audit schedules, submit accurate and timely data for financial reporting purposes and make recommendations for improvements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-Responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets and inventory accounts.
-Assisting in the accurate recording of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Transactions.
-Assisting in the accurate recording of the fixed assets, projects in progress Transactions.
-Assisting in the accurate recording of the inventory Transactions.
-Auditing self assessment and process documentation, performing/reviewing reconciliations of various -accounts and resolving accounting discrepancies on regular basis.
-Maintain general accounting systems, responsible for bookkeeping activities.
-Maintain general ledger and collect the financial records from the various operational systems, and -submits accurate data for reports on a timely basis.
-Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger -accounts, and document business transactions.
-Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
-Preparing the monthly reports based on IAS and Palestinian tax law.
-Monitoring and reviewing accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
-Maintaining ERP system and making recommendations to increase efficiency and accuracy.
-Additional duties as assigned.
Experience & Education:
-Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role.
-BA or equivalent in Accounting.
Skills & Qualifications:
-Technical knowledge of all accounting functional areas in accordance with GAAP and IAS.
-Experience in working on ERP systems.
-Experience with Oracle e-Business Suite is a plus.
-Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
-Excel, database and financial systems software at an advanced level, crystal reports or other -reporting software skills.
-Time management, communications, and organizational skills.
-Accurate and detail oriented.
-Proficiency in Arabic and English (Oral and Written)
