IP Backbone Network Planning Senior Engineer

Location: Palestine - Ramallah

Responsibilities & Duties:

-Handling the IP backbone network planning tasks.
-Administering and maintaining core network capacity and port utilization.
-Prepare core network plan considering capacity, scalability and expandability.
-Plan long term network architecture and needed capacity.
-Securing ISP core network from all associated risks.
-Handling security projects related to ISP network.
-Follow up and resolve ISP customers’ trouble tickets.
-Performing all the required configuration, operation and maintenance activities for the ISP core network.
-Performing the daily, weekly, and monthly routine health check.
-Implementing QoS according to the design.
-Performing maintenance and preventive maintenance activities.
-Monitor ISP network performance according to KPI’s and in coordination with performance team.
-Troubleshoot ISP network problems and outages.
-Following up with Core network vendors for all issues related to IP core network planning.

Work Experience and Qualifications::

-Minimum 6 years of experience in IP Planning environment, preferred in Telecom operators.
-BSc degree in Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent.

Personal Traits & Skills:

-Knowledge in GSM technology.   
-Strong Communication and  organization skills.
-Ability to work under pressure.
-Proficiency in Arabic and  English (Oral & written).
-Computer latency knowledge.
