Role Summary and Responsibilities & Duties:

The IPCore Engineer is responsible for all Mobile IP Core network operations, including administration and operation of all Core routers, switches, and firewalls. Moreover, he is required to monitor links and nodes performance according to KPIs, and apply all improvements needed and with alignment with the vendor.

Responsibilities & Duties:

-Performing IP Core network operation and maintenance activities.
-Implementing QoS according to the design.
-Implementing proper routing & switching according to the plans.
-Preparing Data fill for the IP Core nodes.
-Implementing IGP, BGP & MPLS on the Mobile Packet Backbone.
-Performing Integration of IP Core network with Core nodes, VAS and billing systems.
-Performing maintenance and preventive maintenance activities.
-Securing IP core network from all associated risks.
-Implementing and operating Core Network Security systems.
-Handling all information security projects.
-Performing the daily, weekly, and monthly routine health check.
-Monitor IP Core network links performance.
-Manage to keep the network operational according to KPIs.
-Handling all IPCore network projects and enhancements.
-Operation of IP Core network security systems.
-Following up with IP Core network vendors for all CSRs, upgrades, and enhancements.
-Verifying the Network availability and securing Out-Of-Band access to the core nodes.

 
Work Experience and Qualifications::

 

-Minimum 5 years of experience in IP networking environment, preferred in Telecom operators.
-Jerusalem ID is a must.
-BSc degree in Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent.
-CCNP certification is required.

Personal Traits & Skills:

-Working experience/knowledge  of networking vendors: Ericsson Routers, Juniper, Cisco, and Extreme.
-Knowledge in GSM technology.   
-Strong Communication and  organization skills.
-Ability to work under pressure.
-Proficiency in Arabic and  English (Oral & written).
-Computer latency knowledge.
