Education Specialist/Human Rights

1-Vacancy No. : 072/2012/X
2-Duty Station : Field Office-Jerusalem
3-Department : Education Department
4-Basic Salary : 806.1 JD+ that varies in accordance to the pay policies set by the Agency.
Other fringe benefits include provident fund & health insurance.
5-Allowances : Family Allowances payable up to 7 children and spouse.

6-Qualifications:
-A first university degree from a recognized university in Social Science, Political Science with a strong background in the area of Human Rights, Tolerance and Conflict Resolution.
-Diploma in education showing successful completion of a teacher training course of at least one year duration.
-A minimum of eight years’ satisfactory teaching experience of which at least five years should be in the relevant subject of specialization at school level.
-Good knowledge of spoken and written English and Arabic.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
-Advanced degree in a related subject.
-Good knowledge of modern trends, methods & techniques in Human Rights supervision.
-Possession of a valid driving license.

-Knowledge of educational theories and good practices, and teacher/ school development.
-Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others in a team working environment.
-Demonstrated ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
-Ability to work under pressure and meet target deadlines.
-Problem solving and decision making skills.
-Proficiency in the standard PC applications used by the Agency.
-Research and problem solving skills in teaching and learning context.
-Integrity and positive attitude.
