The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees invites applications from qualified candidates for the post of:
Procurement Assistant
1-Vacancy No. : 168/2014/X
2-Duty Station : Field Office Jerusalem
3-Department : Logistics Department/ Operations Support Team
4-Grade & Salary : Special Service Agreement (SSA) : 1,050$.
5-Qualifications:
-Diploma in business administration, finance, commerce or related field.
-At least 3 years of procurement experience or procurement related administrative work.
-Very good knowledge of both written and oral English & Arabic is required. Working knowledge of Hebrew would be an asset.
Competencies:
-Ability to work under pressure and to use limited time and resources effectively.
-Flexibility to adapt rapidly to changing situations.
-Ability to ensure that the highest possible quality outputs are produced.
-Proficiency in MS Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel), and ability to navigate the Internet required.
-Project document formulation, budgeting and reporting, ability to apply UN rules, regulations, policies and guidelines.
-Able to plan and organize, and an work within tight deadlines.
-Takes direct responsibility for own work, with attention to detail ensuring accuracy and consistency.
-Speaks and writes clearly, listens to others, requests clarifications when needed and engages in two-way communication, and demonstrates openness in sharing information.
-Ability to communicate effectively and establish work relationships at all levels.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
-Good interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with staff at different levels and from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
-Works with colleagues to achieve UNRWA goals, demonstrates a willingness to learn from others and solicits input, and supports and acts in accordance with team decisions.
