MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
In accordance with established Agency policy and procedures, the incumbent will:
-Identifies potential projects and new opportunities for creating short term and meaningful projects for the CCMU.
-Liaises with relevant community representative or NGO partners to formulate project outline, implementation and supervision structure, coordinates with other external partners.
-Produces statistics and data on projects and collects data and information on the progress of project implementation for use in the monthly monitoring reports.
-Monitors or controls financial expenditure of projects in coordination with the Administrative Officer and Finance staff.
-Reports on regular basis to the Head of CCMU on project progresses and problems, proposes adjustments and solutions, and prepares progress and final reports for implemented projects.
-Arranges and organizes duties field visits for delegations and donors.
-Performs such other duties as maybe assigned.
PERSONAL & PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES
-Bachelor’s degree in humanitarian affairs, management, social or political science or related discipline.
-At least three years experience in project implementation or socio economics or related field.
-Ability to take initiative.
-Ability to work under pressure.
-Creativity and good analytic skills.
-Knowledge of social development concepts.
-Excellent communication and negotiations skills, sound judgment and problem solving skills.
-Very good analytical and reporting skills.
-Professional proposal & report writing skills.
CONDITIONS OF SERVICE
-Monthly basic salary: $1300
-Contract Duration: Three months. (Extension of contract is subject to the continuing need for the post
and satisfactory services of the selected person)
EQUIVALENCY
Candidates with an equivalent combination of relevant academic qualifications, professional training and progressive work experience may also be considered.
ASSESSMENT METHOD
