The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees invites applications from qualified candidates for the post of:

Deputy Field Pharmaceutical Services Officer

1-Vacancy No. : 116/2014/X
2-Duty Station : Field Office-Jerusalem
3-Department : Health Department/ Pharmaceutical Services
4-Basic Salary : 861.5 JD+ that varies in accordance to the pay policies set by the Agency.
Other fringe benefits include provident fund & health insurance.
5-Allowances : Family Allowances payable up to 7 children and spouse.
9% as Supplementary Allowance
An allowance of 1000 NIS payable in JD at UNRWA rate.

6-Qualifications:
-A university degree in pharmacy.
-A valid license to practice pharmacy in the country of duty station (where applicable).
-The required qualification & skills to administer the medical supplies operations at Field Pharmacy, such candidate should have the experience of 4 years at least in pharmacy services, of which two years in administration of medical supplies operations which include organizing and streamlining processes, planning, ordering, procurement & Logistic management, inventory & software applications management, financial & reporting, presentations & communication skills.
-Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic.

Competencies:
-Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
-Excellent communication and negotiation skills, sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
-Supervisory skills and ability to develop staff.
-Proficiency in standard Agency computer applications.
-Knowledge and skills in basic supply and financial procedures.
-Knowledge of WHO guidelines in quality assurance of medical supplies in the international commerce.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
-Knowledge of pharmaceutical laws and regulations in the county of duty station.
-Knowledge of accounting, storekeeping and supply procedures.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
-The incumbent is required to travel in the field assigned.
-Possession of a valid driving license.
