Audio-Visual and Interactive Media Trainers

Introduction

Within the framework of the project "Quality Urban Development and Sustainable Interventions Rehabilitation for Revitalization (QUDSI-R4R)," which is funded by the European Union and managed by the United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-Habitat) in the Regional Office of Arab States, partly implemented by Al-Quds University, we are pleased to announce a Request for Proposals for trainers in Audio-Visual Skills and Interactive Media.

The upcoming training will be conducted at Dar Al Consul Community Center in the Old City of Jerusalem, with a few online sessions.

Objective

The objective of this training program is to equip young professionals with advanced audio-visual production, interactive media design, and visual storytelling skills through a structured, practical, and hands-on learning approach. The training will cover key areas including:

  1. Introduction to Audio-Visual Production: Understanding the fundamentals of media production, storyboarding, and essential equipment.
  2. Visual Storytelling Techniques: Mastering camera operations, lighting, composition, and visual narrative structuring.
  3. Audio Production and Editing: Acquiring skills in high-quality audio recording, editing, and enhancement.
  4. Advanced Video Editing: Learning professional editing techniques, visual effects integration, and seamless synchronization.
  5. Interactive Media and User Experience: Developing skills in UX/UI design, creating intuitive and engaging digital content.
  6. Visualization Methods and Tools: Mastering data visualization and interactive communication using leading industry tools.
  7. Immersive Media and Innovation: Exploring VR/AR technologies and immersive media applications.
  8. Project Development and Final Presentation: Creating and presenting final projects incorporating acquired skills.

Scope of Work

Selected trainers will be responsible for:

  • Designing and delivering a 35-hour training curriculum covering the specified areas.
  • Implementing a project-based and student-centered learning approach.
  • Providing real-world scenarios to apply acquired skills.
  • Assessing participants’ progress and providing constructive feedback.

Deliverables

  • A detailed training plan and curriculum.
  • Training materials and resources for participants.
  • A structured schedule of training sessions.
  • Individual and group projects for trainees.
  • Regular progress assessments and a final training report.

Trainer Qualifications

  • Existing access to the Old City of Jerusalem.
  • Proven expertise in audio-visual production, interactive media, and visualization.
  • Strong background in multimedia education and hands-on applications.
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills.
  • Experience in designing project-based and student-centered training programs.
  • Familiarity with the QUDSI-R4R project goals and the Dar Al Consul Community Center’s mission.

  • A cover letter detailing relevant experience and training methodology.
  • A detailed CV highlighting qualifications.
  • Three references from previous training engagements.
  • A proposed training plan and methodology for one or more of the specified areas.
  • A portfolio or sample training plans showcasing previous work.
  • Documented outcomes from previous trainings, including pre-and post-evaluation results.
  • A financial offer specifying the cost per hour (35 training hours + development time required).

This training program is funded by the European Union and implemented through a collaboration between UN-HABITAT and Al-Quds University.
