Capacity Building Toolkit “Gender Justice Palestine.”

Terre des hommes (Tdh) Palestine delegation is seeking to contract national training consultants/firms that display the human, ethical and technical capacities to conduct Capacity Building of Non-Formal Female Justice Actors in Gender-Responsive, Survivor Centered Prevention and Response to Violence against Women and girls and Harmful Practices

Objective and deliverables of the assignment

Under this consultancy contract, TDH and WATC are seeking the services of a consultancy firm/individuals to support the design and implementation of a comprehensive, structured and blended capacity building toolkit for informal female justice actors in five governorates in the West bank namely, Bethlehem, Ramallah, Jenin, Tulkarem and Qalqilya on gender-responsive, survivor-centered, and accountable prevention and response justice to tackle violence against women and girls and the associated harmful practices it entails.

Key topics to include are (not exhaustive): women and girls rights to live free of violence, VAWG and their multi-negative effect for the community as a whole, Islamic jurisprudence and community-based justice practices aligned with national protection laws and international women’s and girls’ rights conventions, referral mechanisms in place for VAWG cases at the community, local and national level and process to follow to report . Especial relevance will be put on conflict management skills (mediation and conciliation plus leadership skills from a gender-transformative approach) in dealing with VAWG cases at the community level, including their role within male-led dispute resolution mechanisms. Management of safety considerations for women and girls’ survivors will be of paramount as well.

Tdh will provide the consultant with the necessary desk review materials (not exhaustive) to which the capacity building toolkit will be built upon. The consultant/firm will be expected to complement the resources provided by Tdh as need be.
