Background Information

ActionAid is an international organization, working with over 25 million people in more than 40 countries for a world free from poverty and injustice. ActionAid Palestine is a part of the ActionAid International Federation and ActionAid Australia. ActionAid is a global justice Federation working to achieve social justice, gender equality and poverty eradication. ActionAid prioritizes the leadership of women and young people, especially those living in poverty and exclusion to lead their lives in dignity.

ActionAid Palestine (AAP), through funding from the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, and in cooperation with ActionAid Italy and CESVI foundation, is implementing a 12-month project entitled: “Protection, Water, Health and Hygienic Health for vulnerable population in Area C” Project in Hebron governorates. The overall objective for this project is to “contribute to the protection and guarantee the dignity of the most vulnerable Palestinian population”. The project’s RESULT 2 aims at improving availability and access to protection and psychological support services for SGBV victims/at-risk people. In that regard and as part of ActionAid Palestine continuous efforts to shed light on the situation of health and protection services in the target communities and will be used to present the results and difficulties encountered in the communities involved in the project.

Purpose & Rational

As part of ActionAid Palestine continuous efforts, ActionAid is now considering the selection of a professional and qualified expert consultant to be responsible for the overall campaigning to shed light on the situation of health and protection services in the target communities and will be used to present the results and difficulties encountered in the communities involved in the project. The campaign will be based on participatory methods and ensuring local leadership involvement. At least 10,000 people will be reached by the different channels of each advocacy and awareness campaign, and among these beneficiaries, at least 70% will be women and girls.  

AAP seeks an experienced firm / individual filmmaker & graphic designer to conceptualize and produce a communication materials including short videos & posters.

Firm / Consultant is expected to deliver the following:

Schedule

The assignment shall be conducted between 13th of May 2023 to 31st of May 2023. Specific level of effort for the consultant will be based on the agreed workplan that will be finalized with the contract taking into consideration that each theme should be approved by ActionAid project team.

Qualifications Of Consultant

• Extensive experience with film production, preferably with NGOs.
• Experience working in an intercultural environment.
• Access to video equipment and editing software.

Application Process

 Consultants that meet the requirements should submit expression of interest, which should include the following:

1. Cover letter including the consultant’s suitability for the assignment and current contact information.
2. Curriculum Vitae with relevant consultancy experience related to the subject if the ToR.  
3. 1-2 samples of previous mentorship work
4. Financial offer: detailed budget breakdown based on the required materials as per the above table.

Prerequisites for accepting Consultants Financial offer:

• Prices must be VAT exempted (Invoice with Zero VAT). For local individuals who are not registered at official quarters, 5% will be deducted income tax deduction from the total cost
• Prices must be in US Dollars
• Official registered applicants must submit a valid deduction from source certificate along with the offer.
• Prices must include all expenses related to this consultancy e.g. travel, …etc
