 PURPOSE:

Oxfam seeks to contract 12 of skilled community mobilizers to conduct community awareness activities in Gaza Strip, the West Bank. The mobilizers will be contracted by Oxfam by using service contract assigned as free-lancer individuals. 

MAIN OBJETIVE:

The key objective of the assignment is to support Oxfam MEAL team to conduct community engagement program.

Main responsibilities and duties:

• Strict commitment to attend 100% of Oxfam Training Package that will include the followings:

• Communication with communities approach
• Data protection requirements
• Field safety and security requirements
• Safe programming
• Accountability to Affected Population
• Data collection ethics

• Coordinate with relevant implementing partners and prepare the field plan accordingly.
• Conduct field mobilization activities which could include community sessions, schools/kindergarten events, door to door visits, open days, and others.
• Support the attendees to understand clear messages.
• Recognize and give an account of problems in obtaining data, in consultation with Oxfam MEAL team.
• Provide day to day progress updates to Oxfam MEAL assistant.
• Review gathered data and perform correction if required.

Background and Skills

• Relevant Diploma or Bachelor degree of data management and/or social work.
• Prefer Good written in English for data collection.
• Previous experience in community mobilization and/or awareness campaigns
• Previous experience in data collection in the field of humanitarian work
• Good knowledge and experience of using mobile application for data entry.
• expertise to enter, transcribe, record, sort or maintain data in written or electronic forms.
• Good knowledge of the core humanitarian standards.
• Good knowledge and experience in using Microsoft excel.
• Skills of communication with communities.
• Ability to pay full attention to what others are saying, understand the points being made, and ask appropriate questions.
• Good observation skills to obtain useful data from related resources.
• For West Bank Mobilizers: Ability to travel to all governorates in the West Bank is preferred.  

Duration: 16 working days in total during three months.

Working Conditions: This is a service providing mission for individuals will be fully responsible on their health and safety.

Evaluation Criteria: 70% Technical offer and 30% for Rate Price Offer.
