Comprehensive EVAW/G with disabilities training program
Background
Stars of Hope Society (SHS) in partnership with The Social and Economic Policies Monitor (Al-Marsad) are implementing “HEMAYA” project, funded by UN TRUST FUND to have ‘Women and girls with disabilities (WGWDs) in West-Bank and Gaza-Strip safely access adequate and appropriate support services by end of the project”.
Training program Overview
Stars of Hope Society (SHS) seeks to implement a Comprehensive “Ending Violence Against Women / Girls (EVAW/G) with disabilities” training program to build the capacities of the implementing agencies’ staff, focal points and Disabled persons’ organizations (DPOs) representatives (who are women with disabilities) in both Gaza Strip and West Bank.
The intended training program shall cover four interlinked topics:
- Gender Based Violence and Disability – 3 days
- Facilitation skills for trainers and facilitators- 4 days
- Psychological First Aid for Women with disabilities experiencing Gender based Violence- 3 days
- Communication media skills in relevance to disability rights - 2 days
The trainings shall be implemented synchronously in Gaza Strip and West bank.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced University Degree in gender, development studies, law, international relations or other discipline related to the training
- At least 5 years’ experience in training in the required fields.
- Ability to prepare training material, design training plans, needs assessments and evaluations.
- Previous experience in working with people with disabilities
WHO CAN APPLY:
- Firms and team of consultants who can conduct the training in both Gaza strip and West bank
- Individual trainer who can access Gaza Strip and West bank
