Conducting a Study at the National Level to Advocate on Good Environmental Practices.

 

The Palestinian Agricultural Relief Committees (PARC) is a leading Palestinian Agricultural Development Organization that was established in 1983. Since its establishment, PARC has been efficiently engaged in Palestinian land development, water resources & environment, poverty reduction and women empowerment, olive oil marketing, as well as other crucial rural development programs.

In accordance with its mandate, PARC is implementing a project titled The " Contribute to improving the resilience of vulnerable rural communities in West Bank and Gaza to enable their access to rights in a sustainable and equitable manner 18-CO1-900. Funded by AECID. 

 

Price offer

PARC seeks the services of highly qualified consultancy firm to assess the good environmental practices in terms of the use of organic fertilizers, and the management of solid waste, and its reuse. Where in specific, the consultancy aims to achieve the following objectives: 

  • Identify the reality of compost industry in the Gaza Strip, and mapping existing initiatives in this industry 
  • Identifying the main challenges and constraints facing the land as a result of using chemical fertilizers. 
  • Assessing the use of compost in the Gazan context, and its impact on the agriculture sector 
  • Provide capacity building program on compost manufacturing and use for women benefitted from home garden intervention as part of the project. 

 

TEAM Minimum Qualifications

The Consultant must have the resources, ability and technical expertise to develop the study and to deliver the training. The proposed consultants should have the following minimum requirements: 

  • At least a master degree in related fields. 
  • Strong background in organic fertilizers, and waste management.
  • Good knowledge of the agriculture sector.
  • Good public relations network with private and public sector institutions operating in Gaza Strip.
  • Fluency in writing skills in English is a must.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS TO TENDER

The submitted offers should be in Euro excluding VAT. The tenderer should be able to issue free VAT invoices in addition to deduction at source certificate (شهادة خصم مصدر).

  1. The tenderer must comply with the standards and requirements set out in the tender bid.
  2. The submitted offer is binding to the Supplier nor the tender offer may be withdrawn after submission and remains binding by a period of three months starting from the date of the offer.
  3. Tender documents delivered by hand 
  4. Late applications will not be accepted
  5. The tender envelop must be sealed and stamped.
  6. Tender must stamp all bid papers.

SUBMITTALS:

The tenderers have to submit for the evaluation the following documents:

  • Technical offer with all supporting documents (Working methodology, CVs for the staff and the consulting firm profile, previous experience, …etc). 
  • Financial offer.

TENDER SUBMISSION DATE:

Interested qualified consultant(s) are encouraged to obtain a copy of the price offer from PARC officer starting from Monday 27th June 2022 till Wednesday 6th July 2022 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 Pm. 

Technical and financial proposals will be submitted by hand at PARC office at Al Zitoun area, Salah Al Dein St., Gaza on 7th July 2022 before 02:00 PM. Applications submitted beyond this date will be disqualified immediately.

Note/ Pre-bid meeting will be conducted on Monday, 4th July 2022 at 11:00ss AM At PARC office.
