Conducting Entrepreneurship Skills and Green Economy Training

Ma’an Development Centre in partnership with Oxfam is implementing the EU-funded project entitled “Building the Economic Resilience for the Gaza Strip”, which aims to enhance the economic resilience of vulnerable economic groups in the Gaza Strip affected by recurrent political and economic shocks, including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The project is a 42-month project, starting in 2022.

One of the project’s main activities is to support the institutional capacity development of MA’AN HUB for Innovation and Entrepreneurship to integrate the green economy and WEF and thus to better serve entrepreneurs, start-ups, and innovators. The Hub will expand its work to include an Innovation Research Fund to support research projects that provide tangible solutions to real challenges posted by solution seekers in the private industries while mainstreaming the integration of the green economy and WEF. Additionally, the project will provide resources for the advancement of youth skills in entrepreneurship and green economy as essential elements for youth development in a growing and challenging marketplace.

The objective of the training is to identify the knowledge and skills of the beneficiaries related to entrepreneurship to become more able of present ideas and them to obtain financing investment opportunities. The proposed areas of training should mainstream the integration of the green economy and the WEF nexus.

The target group is formed of around 150 youth who will be divided into 6 groups, each group will receive 25 hours of training. The training will cover topics in entrepreneurship skills and green economy
