Purpose of the consultancy
The main objective of the assignment is to develop a policy paper on Facilitating formalization of women-led MSMEs. This assignment is part of an advocacy campaign undertaken within the framework of the Project entitled “Generating Revenue Opportunities for Women and Youth in the West Bank” (GROW), which is funded by the Government of Canada and implemented by Cowater Int’l in partnership with the Palestinian Businesswomen Association (Asala). The Project aims at enhancing the economic empowerment and increasing prosperity for low-income women and youth in the West Bank.
Background
Small and micro-businesses in Palestine have an effective role in the development of Palestinian economy; provide goods and service as well as providing jobs opportunities, noted that more than 90% of investments in Palestine are classified as SMEs these investments and businesses are mostly informal especially women-led MSMEs.
