Project Title: Strengthening Women´s Participation in the Labour Market in Palestine.

Background,

The Women’s Studies Center (WSC) is a Palestinian secular, independent, and feminist non-governmental organization dedicated to protecting and advocating human rights and women's rights; advancing gender equality, and supporting women’s rights as an integral part of human rights. Established in 1989 in Jerusalem (Palestine).

WSC goals include achieving positive change and improving the quality of life for women and girls in the Palestinian society socially and economically following these strategic objectives:

Empowering women socially, economically, and building women's capabilities.

Studying and analyzing the situation of Palestinian women, and publishing the findings and recommendations. 

Protecting women and girls from gender-based violence. 

WSC seeks a qualified consultant to develop a manual and factsheets on best practices and mechanisms to prevent, address and eliminate GBV in the world of work globally, regionally, and nationally, based on the findings of a conducted study by the WSC and the ILO Violence and Harassment Convention No.190 and its recommendations.
