Developing an Electronic Portal for the Union of Stone and Marble

Trader Facilitation and Customs Support Programme (Tasdeer)

Tasdeer, an FCDO-funded trade facilitation programme in the Occupied Palestinian Territories is soliciting proposals from eligible and responsible IT firms to develop a web portal for the Union of Stone and Marble.

This portal is expected to achieve the following objectives:

-To establish a global inclusive platform to properly promote the sector’s product and connect stone and marble companies to potential customers.

-To improve the communication between the Union and its members and facilitate the exchange of information

-Enhance the presentation of the businesses in the sector over the internet and facilitate communication between the companies and existing and new customers.

-Increases in exposure and connectivity are expected to lead to an increase in sales, driving improvements in sector production capacity and quality.

The service provider is expected to use a participatory approach in the process. Critical reflection by USM members is an integral part of designing, developing, and promoting the electronic portal.
