Developing Case Studies 

MA’AN, in partnership with ActionAid Palestine, is currently implementing the "Humanitarian Program funded by DANIDA" which aims to strengthen the resilience and protection of women and young women affected by the protracted crisis and disasters in the Gaza Strip in line with IHRL and IHL. As part of this program, MA'AN will undertake a set of activities that aim at strengthening the economic resilience of a group of vulnerable women through supporting their engagement in small-scale income-generation projects, mainly food production and animal husbandry. In addition, the target group will be provided with capacity building and technical support to enhance their technical capacity to run their businesses. 

MA'AN is looking for a qualified consultant to develop 5 case studies that analyze and document the role of MA'AN and other project partners of HUM program in improving the economic and social resilience of GBV survivors. The case study shall analyze the socio-economic environment of the targeted women and shed light on the project approach and techniques adopted by the project partners (MA'AN, Wefaq, and PENGO) to promote their economic and social resilience. It should also include an analysis of the socio-economic vulnerabilities of the targeted women, and how the project's theory of change supported the achievement of the ultimate goal of the project (shifting power to women).

Only consultancy groups are eligible to apply for this consultancy service. The consultancy group should consist of at least 3 consultants who have prior demonstrated experience in the field of economic empowerment and small-scale business development and have developed similar case studies. The experiences of the consultancy team should be diverse and should cover all areas related to the consultancy assignment. 

 The consultant, should have the following qualifications: 

• Academic qualification in English literature, economic development, business planning, or any relevant field. Master's degree and above is a credit. 
• At least 3 years of experience in working with NGOs in the field of economic empowerment. 
• Demonstrated long experience in developing case studies in the same context.  
• Excellent Writing Skills. 
• Good reporting and communication skills, with specific reference to analytical reports and studies. 
• Ability to develop concrete methodology and timeframe for delivering the required consultancy service within the specified duration.
