Developing the Emergency Livelihood Protection Preparedness and Response Plan and Providing Training on Emergency Livelihood Preparedness and Response
MA’AN, in partnership with Norwegian People's Aid (NPA) and funded by Norwegian Ministry for Foreign Affairs (NMFA), is currently implementing the project " Livelihoods Emergency Support for GBV Survivors in the Gaza Strip”. The project aims to enhance resilience, alleviate suffering and maintain human dignity of the most vulnerable Palestinians experiencing humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip by building, protecting productive assets and restoring or creating income generating opportunities to save and sustain lives and achieve greater level of resilience in selected locations of the Gaza Strip
As part of this project, MA'AN will undertake a set of activities that aim at supporting self-reliance of affected households strengthening the economic resilience of a group of vulnerable people who do not have access to livelihood resources through a comprehensive intervention plan including economic empowerment, psychological, social and health interventions for 60 families in Rafah and Khanyounis. MA'AN will also support GBV services providers to elaborate an emergency livelihood protection preparedness and response plan.
MA'AN is looking for a qualified consultancy firm to provide support for GBV services’ providers who are addressing the concerns of women equitable access to economic opportunities to elaborate an emergency livelihood protection (restoration)
preparedness and response plan. This should support vulnerable families who are in a vital risk of losing their livelihoods assets because of the deteriorated economic situation accompanied with the COVID crisis. Two public GBV services providers, namely, Women Affairs Center and Wefaq Society for Woman and Child Care will be targeted in the implementation of this consultancy.
This is expected to enhance the ability of the targeted GBV services providers to apply more resilient, effective and gender-sensitive livelihoods’ development plans which enable for enhanced access of GBV survivors to livelihoods resources and capacities
- Only registered consultancy firms are eligible to apply for this consultancy service.
- The consultancy firm should have a demonstrated experience in the field of the required services.
- The consultancy firm’s team, should have the following qualifications:
- Appropriate academic qualification, preferably in the area of in economics, management, social sciences, or any relevant field. A master degree in one of the related majors is a must.
- Demonstrated knowledge of GBV related issues.
- At least 5 years of experience in providing supervision/coaching services in related fields.
- Very good reporting, writing, and coordination skills, with specific reference to analytical reports and studies.
- Ability to develop concrete methodology and timeframe for delivering the required consultancy service within the specified duration.
- An orientation meeting will be conducted with the interested consultancies to discuss the terms of the request for quotation, this will be in 25/03/2021 at 12:00 AM at MA’AN Development center.
