Consultancy Contract for Provision of Engineering Services that includes quality assurance and site supervision for the construction works of Yatta Water Project

BACKGROUND

UNICEF State of Palestine is looking for an experienced Engineering Consulting firm with a solid background in Civil Engineering projects specifically in Water supply infrastructure design, implementation and supervision for the undermentioned assignment in Yatta Municipality and neighbouring Beit Amra area.

Yatta is a Palestinian city in the Hebron Governorate, located 9 km south of Hebron city, in the southern part of the West Bank, with a total population of 76,200 people .Yatta is one of the most vulnerable cities in the West Bank, where people on average have access to less than 40l of water per person per day. The existing water distribution system in Yatta City was constructed in 1974 and is at the end of its life span. The system is fed from three water sources: a) Bani Naim Wells (whereby water is pumped to a reservoir on a high hill before distribution), b) Mekarot (from the National Water Company of Israel) and c) Rehahiya well (an unreliable water source).
