Justification 

This external evaluation is part of UCAS Technology Incubator within the frame of project entitled “Enhancing the new lawyers’ capacities by engaging in the first legal incubator in Gaza Strip- INSAF legal Incubator”, funded by the SAWASYA II program- United Nations Development Program UNDP. 

Program Overview 

The overall objective of the project is “to Build the professional competence of new lawyers, with a focus on female lawyers, as future practicing lawyers and advancing their social responsibilities”.

UCASTI, in coordination with Sawasya, announced the establishment of the legal incubator. The project selected 15 new lawyers engaged in the incubation program, set on specific selection criteria taking into consideration the gender, and the ability to be a social entrepreneur among the local communities and provide pro-bono legal services. Within the project period the main achieved activities including: training programs, mentorship program, awareness workshops, and Pro-bono legal services.
