TERMS OF REFERENCE First Aid/BASIC LIFE SUPPORT TRAINING

ACTED is an independent international, private, non-partisan and non-profit organization that operates according to principles of strict neutrality, political and religious impartiality, and non-discrimination. ACTED was created in 1993 to support populations affected by the conflict in Afghanistan. Based in Paris, France, ACTED is present in four continents and our teams intervene in 36 countries towards 8 million people, responding to emergency situations, supporting rehabilitation projects and economic and social development. ACTED has worked in Palestine since 2007, ACTED is both committed to humanitarian assistance and long-term development. ACTED strives to strengthen the economic capacities of cooperatives in rural areas, consolidate civil society organizations, and provide emergency assistance to the most vulnerable, rural communities in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

ACTED is implementing a project of “Strengthening community-based preparedness and emergency response in the Middle Area, Khan Younis and Rafah governorates” funded by the oPt Humanitarian Fund (HF). The overall goal of the project is to strengthen community-based preparedness and emergency response in the Middle Area, Khan Younis and Rafah governorates. Improving the preparedness and response capacity of Middle Area, Khan Younis and Rafah communities will be achieved throughout: 

-Establishing and building the capacity of one new and one existing Community Emergency Response Networks (CERNs) in the Middle Area, Khan Younis, and Rafah governorates to respond to emergency needs arising from rapid and massive population displacements due to man-made or natural disasters.

-Increasing its stockpiling capacity and geographic coverage by further prepositioning NFI kits in four warehouses located in the three target governorates, thus ensuring preparedness for future man-made and natural disasters while enabling immediate response to urgent COVID-19 needs.

ACTED is seeking to empower the Community Emergency Response Network members with knowledge and skills in first aid and basic life support.

This consultancy will include providing training on basic life support (4 days-24 training hours). ACTED is looking for qualified service providers (firms/individuals/team group) with the following characteristics:

*Team groups/individuals/ consultancy firm are welcomed to apply for this ToR, in this case ACTED will evaluate the CVs for individuals and for team groups and has the full right to select professional trainers from different team groups if needed to deliver the emergency preparedness training.

*The awarded trainers of this offer will be required to pay for the cost of this advertisement.
