MA’AN is an independent Palestinian development and training institution established in
January 1989, registered by law as a non-profit organization. The main office is located in
Ramallah and the other branch offices are located in Gaza, and Jenin. MA’AN's work is informed
by the necessity of creating independent, self-reliant initiatives that lead to the development of
human resources for sustainable development, which incorporate values of self-sufficiency and
self-empowerment.

MA’AN has been working on implementing a project entitled ““Repair and Upgrade of 4 WASH
Facilities at North of Gaza”. One of the main activities in the project is to provide urgent repairs
for 4 sewage pumping stations located at north of Gaza.The 4 facilities are suffering from poor
conditions and in need of repair and replacement of old deteriorated plumbing and electrical
items with new items to keep the pumping stations functioning with the optimum required
capacity.

Within this project , MA’AN is seeking a mechanical site engineer to supervise and track the on
field activities at the 4 WASH facilities to ensure sound implementation of all activities adhering
to the engineering standards and regulations with the following minimum qualification :

-Minimum university degree in the field of mechanical engineering or any relevant field.
-Minimum of 4 years’ experience in related field.
-Solid experience in pumping stations, needed mechanical systems, technical knowledge
about repairing items and spare parts of mechanical main boards.
-Good knowledge and proven experience in reporting skills in English.
-Previous experience with international and local NGOs.
-Computer skills, in particular MS Applications, AutoCAD.
-Fluency in reading, writing and speaking in both Arabic and English.
-Ability to work under pressure.
-Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks while fostering quality, team spirit and
positive working relationships with colleagues.
