 Overview of PITA:

The Palestinian Information Technology Association of Companies (PITA) represents more than 180 major ICT companies in Palestine’s emerging technology and startup ecosystem, making PITA the driving force in advancing the ICT sector’s interests and the leading information source about this sector in Palestine. PITA was founded in 1999 by a group of Palestinian entrepreneurs with the vision of creating a non-profit organization to advance the interests and positive societal impact of Palestine’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector. A new generation of forward-thinking entrepreneurs with a heritage that takes them back thousands of years in history is bringing together profound change to the technology and startup landscape

Overview of BREB:

The Building Regional Economic Bridges (BREB) Activity is a key component of USAID’s Partnership for Peace Fund under the Nita M. Lowey Middle East Partnership for Peace Act (MEPPA). Through technical assistance, grants, and facilitating access to finance, BREB: (1) facilitates cooperative exchange and knowledge sharing; (2) fosters new markets; (3) strengthens Palestinian enterprises to promote cross-border trade; and (4) promotes investment and access to finance. Across all components, transferring technology and know-how is a key program objective.

Preface:

Prosperity of the Palestinian Tech Ecosystem is a project that focuses on the upskilling and development of mid-level professionals in Palestinian ICT companies to ensure hi-tech business development and equip the next generation of leaders with the necessary skills to better position the Palestinian ICT sector. This initiative is being implemented by the Palestinian Information Technology Association of Companies (PITA) and funded by USAID Building Regional Economic Bridges (BREB) Activity, targeting mid-level staff working inside PITA’s ICT members in the West Bank.

The initiative comprises customized training programs conducted by both international and local trainers. These programs will be enhanced with additional technical support, including matchmaking and coaching services, to effectively apply the newly acquired skills and competencies in negotiating business deals, establishing connections, and forming partnerships with potential clients and investors.

Recognizing the significance of upskilling human capital resources, exposure to niche markets and trends, and boosting competitiveness, the project aims to equip participants to expand, contract with other markets, and thrive in the business landscape.

The project aims to:

Upscaling companies’ human capital resources, as the mid-level employees (Team Leads) will obtain higher qualifications that meet international standards and will be able to train their teams.

Contributing to the exposure to niche markets and trends, ameliorating the technology workplace experience, and better-leveraging technology to drive knowledge sharing and exchanging of best practices.

Increasing the companies’ potential for competing, expanding, and contracting with other markets.

Having new projects and contracts that will increase the staffing levels inside the companies.

Objective and Scope of the Assignment:

Objective – Create visual identity, content, and use of different channels to support communication and visibility for the main activities that will take place during the implementation period of the project.

Scope of Work:

The media agency is expected to provide the following key services:

Design materials and content for roll-up, banners, certificates, social media posts, and visual brand elements per USAID branding guidelines.
Create persuasive social media content (audio, visual, text, animation) as per the requirement of the project for promotion purposes through PITA’s and the project’s social media platforms, emails, and relevant business and local networks.
Create a dedicated FB page for the project, and managing PITA’s social channels and the project’s for disseminating and promoting the project-related activities.
Identify effective mediums and best practices to communicate with and reach a larger audience.
Organize social media campaign under supervision and upon request of the management of the project.
Ensure comprehensive media coverage of the project by engaging local Palestinian newspapers and national media outlets and inviting them to project activities.
Capturing high-quality photos and videos shots for the project final event for documentation and promotional purposes per USAID branding guidelines.
Align with USAID’s existing communications strategy and guidelines.
All products should be translated into Arabic and English as needed.
Branding, slogans, and other critical documents should be used effectively and with consent from PITA and BREB.
All the activities should be consulted with the concerned person/department of PITA and BREB before finalizing.

Key Deliverables:

PITA will cooperate with a media agency with the necessary skills and expertise for managing advertising, promoting, publishing, and facilitating the C&V aspects of the project activities, so please provide us with a price offer according to the below table:

Guidelines:

In undertaking this assignment, the service provider should consider submitting:

Technical proposal (60%) covering the following items:
CV(s) and portfolios of the Media Agency’s team, reflecting relevant experience.
Previous relevant experience in media campaigns and communication.
A detailed action plan is to be submitted by applicants.

The action plan should demonstrate:

Examples of previous work used in other campaigns.
Agency’s geographical reach across Palestine.
Partnerships or current collaborations with other media agencies.
Financial proposal (40%). The price quotation for this assignment should be in U.S. dollars, including VAT.

The price quotation should be submitted in:

English language.
In U.S. dollars – taking into consideration that this project is VAT included.
The price offer must be valid for a period of 3 months.

PITA is not committed to taking the lowest price.

Note: Taking into consideration that the media agency will be working with the implementing partner during the period of the implementation of the project, and that the guidelines on the topics will be worked in cooperation between both sides. The agency is responsible for the full coordination and collaborating with other media agencies.

General Qualifications of Media Agency:

A diversified and skilled team of media experts and experts in the subject matter.
At least 2 years of experience in managing and executing media, advocacy, and communication and mobilization campaigns.
University qualification in the field of marketing, social media, graphic design, video production, visual arts, or related fields.
Excellent business language skills in English /Arabic.
Proficiency in media platforms and networks.
