Media Virtual Production Trainers
Introduction
Within the framework of the "Quality Urban Development and Sustainable Interventions Rehabilitation for Revitalization (QUDSI-R4R)" project, funded by the European Union and managed by the United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-Habitat) in the Regional Office of Arab States, partly implemented by Al-Quds University, we are pleased to announce a Request for Proposals for trainers specializing in Media Virtual Production.
The training will be conducted at Dar Al Consul Community Center in the Old City of Jerusalem, with a few online sessions.
Objective
This training program aims to equip participants with practical skills in virtual media production by integrating real-time virtual environments with traditional filmmaking and broadcasting techniques. Designed for digital content creators, filmmakers, media producers, and digital artists, this program will focus on immersive storytelling, virtual set creation, live compositing, and real-time visual effects.
Training Areas
- Introduction to Virtual Production: Understanding fundamental principles, initial setup, and working with game engines like Unreal Engine.
- Virtual Set Design: Building and customizing 3D environments, integrating assets using Unreal Engine and Quixel Megascans.
- Real-Time Rendering: Optimizing performance, lighting, and shading in virtual environments.
- Live Compositing and Visual Effects: Integrating live footage with virtual backgrounds, virtual cinematography using Unreal Engine and OBS Studio.
- Immersive Storytelling: Developing interactive story concepts, immersive content scripting, and audience engagement strategies.
- Final Project and Presentation: Producing a complete virtual media project and presenting it for peer review.
Scope of Work
Selected trainers will be responsible for:
- Designing and delivering a 35-hour training curriculum covering the specified areas.
- Implementing a project-based and hands-on learning approach.
- Providing real-world applications for acquired skills.
- Assessing participants' progress and providing constructive feedback.
Deliverables
- A detailed training plan and structured curriculum.
- Training materials and resource guides for participants.
- A structured schedule of training sessions.
- Individual and group-based trainee projects.
- A comprehensive final report summarizing training outcomes.
Trainer Qualifications
- Existing access to the Old City of Jerusalem.
- Proven experience in virtual media production and real-time visual effects.
- Strong background in tools such as Unreal Engine, Quixel Megascans, OBS Studio.
- Excellent communication and instructional skills.
- Experience in developing interactive, project-based training programs.
- Familiarity with the QUDSI-R4R project goals and the Dar Al Consul Community Center mission.

- Three references from previous similar training engagements.
- A proposed training plan and methodology for one or more of the specified areas.
- A portfolio or sample training plans showcasing previous work.
- Documented outcomes from previous training, including pre-and post-evaluation results.
- A financial offer specifying the cost per hour (35 training hours + development time required).
