Description of DAMAN Activities 

DAMAN for SMEs is a non-profit company for Credit Guarantee Scheme registered in Palestine and has been operating since 2015. 

DAMAN for SMEs has received external financial support (France, Luxemburg) for three years 2020-2022 to provide three kinds of services to the MFI sector:

1. Credit Guaranty to ASALA, ACAD and REEF MFIs,
2. Capacity Building and training for the MFIs sector,
3. Advocacy and lobbying for the MFIs sector.

DAMAN for SMEs seeks to provide insurance coverage for highly vulnerable borrowers of ACADF, REEF and ASALA as a form of re-financing to encourage borrowers.  Coverage will be only in the form of paying the loan’s outstanding balance to ACADF, REEF and ASALA on behalf of the borrower without compensating the interest or fees on loans.
