Title of the project: Hand to Hand with the older person to pass Covid-19 Pandemic during 2020-2021

Background: The Union of Charitable Societies of Jerusalem (UCS), is a national, non-profit, non-governmental charitable organization, and an umbrella organization for about 120 (Community Based Organizations CBOs”) operating in Jerusalem, Ramallah, Bethlehem, and Jericho districts, these CBOs work on humanitarian development with focus on children, women, youth, elderly citizens and disability, their services cover a large geographic area in Jerusalem and the West Bank. 

Established in 1958, UCS strives to diligently contribute to building an effective Palestinian civil society through advancing the Palestinian civil movement, in an institutionalized and democratic manner and according to good governance and accountability standards. Within this framework UCS aspires to contribute to national building and sustainable development. 

Therefore, UCS aims at empowering its member CBOs, developing their resources and advocating for their rights and issues. Furthermore, UCS strives to support the Palestinian sectoral development priorities with special focus on poverty reduction, social welfare, health, education, health, women and youth empowerment, childhood, elderly care, demographic planning and inclusion. 

Purpose of the Service 

Within the frame work of the project UCS is looking to contract a professional media Production Company OR an individual consultant to produce a short documentary film aiming at raising the awareness about the rights of elderly people to access quality health care services and protecting them from the covid-19 pandemic as well as protecting them from isolation, neglect, abuse, violence..etc.

Assignment deliverables: 

The assignment will undertake the production of a 5 minutes documentary to be used on the different social media platforms of UCS to advocate for the rights of the elderly. 

Qualification of the consulting party: Qualifications and Experience: The successful company would be expected to meet the following qualifications and experience:

• Five to Eight years of professional experience in related fields.
• Demonstrable expertise in the area of innovative and creative media production. 
• Demonstrable capacity to undertake multiple tasks within tight timeframes.

 Application Procedure

Applicants are required to submit the following: 

• A Technical Proposal: Letter of Interest, stating why you, or your firm are considered suitable for the assignment; 
• Financial proposal indicating consultancy fee and a breakdown of expenses (unit price together with any other expenses) related to the assignment. The offers must be in ILS and including VAT.
• Deadline for Submission: The proposals must be originally submitted in sealed envelopes latest by Monday February 15, 2021 @ 12:00 pm to the following address.
