The Palestinian Fund for Employment & Social Protection (PFESP), in partnership with MA’AN, is currently implementing the project “Enhancing Local Food Security for Most Vulnerable Households affected by COVID-19 across Gaza Strip”. The project aims to Contribute to meet the immediate food needs and strengthen the coping capacity of most vulnerable households harshly affected by the taken measures to curb the spread of the pandemic (COVID-19) in Gaza Strip. The project is designed to target 200 households in Gaza Strip governorates, specifically in the most vulnerable areas. The project will provide the households with home-based eco-agriculture units within the boundaries of their home gardens and/or roof top to enhance their food security and economic resilience with specific attention to enhance their coping capacity with COVID-19 pandemic and its harsh impacts on their living conditions. MA’AN is looking for qualified consultants to provide technical training on farming and food production through one-to-one sessions to 200 households across the Gaza Strip through one-to-one sessions.  

MA'AN is looking for a qualified consultancy firm to conduct technical training on farming and food production for 200 vulnerable households from all over the Gaza Strip through one-to-one sessions to be delivered in the field. The training should address issues related to farming and plant production, which should include topics such as farm management, pesticide management, environmental issues, making compost, irrigation techniques, and food production techniques. Each beneficiary should receive one visit, where each visit should last for an average of 45 minutes. A total of 200 one-to-one sessions should be conducted targeting the 200 beneficiaries. 

The consultancy firm should have the following qualifications: 

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in delivering training courses and programs in similar fields, mainly plant production. 
• Proven experience in working with national or international NGOs in the field of agriculture and food security. 
• The firm is officially registered and can provide all documents required for contracting such as the registration certificate. 
• The team should include consultants who have extensive and diverse experience in the different technical fields related to the scope of the consultancy assignment.
