Terms-of-References (ToR) for Soft skills Training

 

Basic information:

 

Project Name: Develop Palestinian Tech-Savvy Workforce (Tech-Savvy).

 

Location: Different location cross West Bank – Nablus, Ramallah, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and Hebron.

 

Entity Responsible for implementing the Program: Palestine Information Technology Association of Companies - PITA in partnership with Jerusalem High-Tech Foundry - JHF, and supported by Finance for Jobs Consulting Services - F4J-CS.

 

Goal of the Program: Tech-Savvy is a flexible and customized career accelerating program aiming to support unemployed Palestinian ICT graduates get employment by upskilling their skills to better meet the needs of local and international job requirements.

Duration of the traning: The duration of this assignment will be taking place between the period of July 2022 and February 2023 since the training groups have not been fully formed and initiated. 

Brief Information on the Project:

Tech-Savvy is a flexible and customized career accelerating program aiming to support unemployed Palestinian ICT graduates get employment by upskilling their skills to better meet the needs of local and international job requirements. Therefore, this project aims to support fresh graduated unemployed youth in IT disciplines from age 18-29, get employment through a training program that consists of job-specific soft and technical skills training, networking opportunity with future employers (companies), job placement and mentoring services to be later hired in entry and/or mid-level tech roles, in addition to a 2-month internship period in an ICT company, if needed.

 

Training Goals:

The consultancy experts’/ Training agencies is requested to provide soft skills workshops to help young people transition from study to work, based on the capacities and interest analysis, each student / or University graduate will choose what career like much from the different options, trainer will guide them on what kind of new skills they need to have that they can succeed in their career in the future, and to map the milestones that will help them to land safely for their first job.

 

The know how to provide the students with soft skills for entry level roles where they will be able to properly write their resume, prepare for job interviews and communicate within their team and work environment in addition to effectively use web tools, e-mail and office applications.

 

Specific Objectives:

The overall objective of the assignment is to increase participants’ abilities to apply for jobs, work with a team and communicate effectively by providing a total of 180-220 training hours of workshops divided to modules of 20-25 Training hours per group, for 7 groups of participant trainees, average of 18 participants in each group.
