Technical Follow-up Visits for Small-Scale Projects

MA’AN, in partnership with ActionAid Palestine, is currently implementing the "Humanitarian Program funded by DANIDA" which aims to strengthen the resilience and protection of women and young women affected by the protracted crisis and disasters in the Gaza Strip in line with IHRL and IHL. As part of this program, MA'AN will undertake a set of activities that aim at strengthening the economic resilience of a group of vulnerable women through supporting their engagement in small-scale income-generation projects, mainly food production and animal husbandry. In addition, the target group will be provided with capacity building and technical support to enhance their technical capacity to run their businesses.

MA'AN is looking for a qualified consultant to implement Technical follow-up visits (on-site coaching) for 50 under-performing and middle-performing small-scale projects to address the difficulties they face and enhance the capacities of the targeted woman to run projects better. The visits are intended to follow up the progress of the small-scale projects and provide them with the technical support they need to foster their productivity and sustainability. Each small-scale business will receive a total of 5 coaching visits, and the time space between each two visits will be between 1-2 months based on recommendations provided jointly by the consultant and the economic support Specialist of MA’AN. The small-scale businesses were established in 2018, 2019, and 2020 and are ran by GBV survivors who are based in Rafah and Khan Younis. Before starting the implementation of the visits, the consultant is required to conduct an in-depth assessment for almost 100 small-scale projects implemented in 2018, 2019, and 2020 to evaluate their performance (Technical and administrative) and identify the projects that will be targeted by the on-site coaching services. The assessment should analyze the barriers facing those projects and identify the areas of technical support needed to advance their technical and financial performance
