Tender Description

Background

For the 4th consecutive year, the Palestine Information and Communications Technology incubator (PICTI) in partnership with Women’s Technical Affairs Committee (WATC), Alianza Por La Solidaridad (APS), Palestine Family Planning and Protection Association (PFPPA) and Culture & Free Thought Association (CFTA) are currently implementing the project “Reducing Gender Inequalities in the Occupied Palestinian Territory” funded by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).

The overall objective of the 4-year intervention is to contribute towards the recognition and full exercise of the Right to a Life free from Violence and the Economic Rights of Palestinian women in the West Bank and Gaza.

Under the framework of this project, PICTI is currently implementing the following 2 activities: -

1- Improve the employment access capabilities of 20 women (with lower and higher education) through engaging them in 3 months internship programme (either internship in companies or home-based).

2- Training on the basic use of the internet and its applications: a training shall be provided to 100 vulnerable and marginalized women on the basic use of the internet and its applications.

Position Profile:

To help achieve these objectives, PICTI will be cooperating with an individual/training academy to provide the following:

1- First Activity: A pool of 20 women with the needed training in order to enhance their skills and competencies in the following areas: Information and Communications Technology, Finance and Accounting, Business Administration, Secretary in addition to Customers Service, Sales and Marketing, that shall in turn improve and facilitate their transition to employment, thus increasing their career prospects.

2- Second Activity: A pool of 100 vulnerable and marginalized women with the needed training in order to increase their knowledge and enhance their skills in the use of the internet and its applications.
