Training opportunity:
Become a certified INDIGO Human Centered Design trainer
The GIZ project 'E-Governance in Palestine and the MENA region (INDIGO), implemented on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) in partnership with the Ministry of Local Government (MoLG), aims at developing capacities in Human Centered Design among relevant stakeholders in the local government sector. The goal is to improve citizen-centered and inclusive digital services as well as innovative and co-creative forms of citizen participation in Palestinian municipalities.
Why Human Centered Design?
In recent years, governments around the globe have recognized the huge potential of human-centered design (HCD) when it comes to the digital transformation and innovation of their administrations, from the United Kingdom, Sweden, Singapore, Vietnam to the United States.
HCD is a problem-solving method and mindset that is geared to overcome adaptive challenges by involving human perspectives. By placing the users at the core of the design process, from the problem definition to the development and testing of prototypes, and by involving diverse stakeholders, HCD ensures that (digital) solutions and products are designed in an efficient, user-friendly and accessible way and meet the actual needs of the citizens.
