About SEC

The Small Enterprise Center (SEC) Association is a Palestinian non-profit organization that was founded in 2002. In 2008, SEC was officially registered as an independent non-profit organization governed by the Palestinian Law of Charitable Associations and Community Organizations No.1 for the year 2000. SEC is a leading national organization serving Palestinian Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and social enterprises (including cooperatives) over Palestine

Brief Course Description

The Small Enterprise Center Association (SEC) is planning to conduct a Training of Trainers (ToT) Course in the preparation of business plans based on CEFE methodology.

Aim of the Course

The Training Course enhances the participants’ competencies in business plans development, improves their skills in marketing, management and financial topics, supports them in shaping their business ideas, and shows the importance of preparing business plans before starting businesses.

Introduction to CEFE

CEFE stands for Competency based Economies, Formation of Enterprises. It is a comprehensive training concept and methodology to strengthen entrepreneurs and key business competencies needed for a successful start and career as entrepreneurs, employees, and managers in an enterprise-friendly society.  CEFE was developed and promoted by the GIZ (formerly GTZ). CEFE ToT Course is anchored on an action learning methodology where participants perform several interactive simulations that provide the opportunity to sit on both sides of the table, as participants and as trainers. Carefully constructed exercises face-­to-­face training, peer learning and field coaching. The course will bring the CEFE methodology to life, the pace of these exercises is fast, the atmosphere realistic, and the results highly rewarding.

CEFE Training Course Content

The training course content covers:  business development, business coaching skills, trainers’ preparation, exercises in: business idea generation & selection, market and marketing skills, production and organization plan and financial plan

Who Should Attend?

This training is targeting interested project staff, freelancers, and higher education teachers working in: private sector, private sector institutions, local and international NGOs, financial institutions, consulting companies.

Pre- conditions for joining the training

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Certificate in Business Administration, Marketing, Ac-counting, Finance, Economics, Agricultural Engineering (or experience in the field of agriculture) or any relevant field.
• Good level in English Language.
• Willingness to pay the nominal training fees (USD 1,280)
• Only who pass the selection interview will join the ToTs Course.
• Ability to attend the ToT in Turkey for 8 days (A valid passport is requested)

Training Venue (Country)
Izmir, Turkey
Four stars hotel, double room.

Training Duration
64 training hours
8 days, 8 training hours plus individual preparation.

Expected Training Period
The training will be held in the second half of April 2019; se-lected participants will be informed of the exact date.

Targeted participants
20 to 26 participants

Training Course Language
English, and Arabic

Certificate
A certificate will be handed out at the end of the ToT to partic-ipants, signed by the Senior International CEFE Coach, Mr. Ahmed Abubaker.

Fees
Fees per each participant (USD 1280). The fees include training fees, training materials, hotel accommodation- Double room, tickets fro Amman to Izmir vice versa, Breakfast, two coffee breaks, and lunch. Training fees does not include transporta-tion to Amman vice versa and visa fees.

Important Notes:

- SEC encourages both genders to apply
- SEC encourages interested people from all West Bank cities and Jerusalem to apply, and Arab Countries.
- Application deadline is on April 2, 2019. Late applications will not be considered.
- Only selected candidates will be contacted for an interview in Ramallah office
- Selected participants will pay USD 500 as a down payment (non-refundable) when they register, then the rest money USD 780 will be paid before one week of the training.
