Secours Islamique France (Islamic Relief France) is a French based humanitarian international agency was founded in 1992 assists the poorest people through its emergency relief, development and orphan welfare programmes in over 30 countries wherever humanitarian and social- needs exist regardless their race, religion or gender.

Due to an increase in activities & a recruitment initiatives, Secours Islamique France (SIF) invites application from qualified applicants for the following post based in SIF's office in Gaza:

Accountant: (Ref #:2010/067FO) Full-time contract
To be responsible for the provision of a wide range of Accounting requirements in a professional and efficient manner .


Essential Competencies for the Accountant:
-University degree of finance or accounting;
-2-3 Years of related experience in working for an international NGOs including budgeting controller.
-Excellent financial report writing and communication skills.
-Prior experience with accounting software packages;
-Excellent computer skills in MS Office programs particularly ,Excel, Access & Internet  i
-Strong-interpersonal skills and working as part of a team.


General Competencies Required:
-Commitment and sympathy to the plight of the poor and disadvantaged;
-Written and spoken English as well as Arabic, French is a plus;
-Broad knowledge and understanding of Islamic principles as they apply to development issues;
-Ability to work on own initiative as well as a part of a team;
-Energetic and able to work under stressful conditions meeting strict deadlines;
-Communication & negotiation skills;
-Planning skills.
