Save the Children is currently recruiting the following positions for the Youth Development Unit:

will be based at the targeted CBOs Offices ( One in Jerusalem City , one in Shufaat Camp and one in Bethany)
Summary of the Project Coordinator’s key areas of accountability:
Program Implementation : will serve as member of the project management team and will have day-to-day management follow up and implementation responsibility for all project’s activities in targeted geographic area. S/he will provide follow up and facilitate and monitoring implementation plans that integrate the project’s activities, with special emphasis on mobilizing youth families and communities, and delivering training to build the capacity of the youth and their surrounding communities .
The coordinator will be responsible for the implementation of two project’s activities and for monitoring and oversight of partner implementation at the targeted CBO’s Location to ensure the quality and effectiveness of program implementation through the effective support to the partners CBOs in accordance with SC values and principles. The Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the overall implementation of the activities and coordinating the partnership with local organizations and national stakeholders. The Coordinator will also organize and coordinate workshops, trainings, seminars, and awareness campaigns involving children, youth and adults and participate in needs assessments and evaluations for the projects. S/he will also work closely with the Program Officer to support the development of advocacy and communication pieces and develop new project ideas.
The Coordinator will provide management and technical support in developing and monitoring implementation plans that integrate the project’s activities, with special emphasis on mobilizing youth, families and communities, and delivering training to build the capacity of local organizations and partners together with the Program Officer . S/he will ensure that project creates and maintains close relationships with relevant stakeholders, INGOs, NGOs, CBOs, Ministries and implementing partners operationg at the targeted communities. The coordinator will furthermore work closely with the support departments ensuring that monitoring plans are carried out, required project resources are mobilized and utilized, data from SC and its partners is generated and reported in a timely fashion, and that quality is maintained as scales up in the field. S/he will work closely with procurement and compliance and finance unit for all related project needs and ensure compliance with SCI standard policies and procedures. And comply with all relevant SCI policies and procedures with respect to child protection, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies
Starting Date: ASAP
Contract duration: 3 years pending annual obligations and funds availability.
Qualification,Skills and Experinece required
-Relevant University degree.
-3 years of relevant project implemmentation experience (design, planning and implementation youth development projects).
-Demonstrated skills working with partners including project implementation monitoring.
-Experience and ability to work with a wide range of people: children, youth, and adults.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to manage a complex and diverse workload and to work with tight deadlines.
-Ability to contribute to a small, proactive team, motivating staff and working collaboratively with colleagues and providing support and advice as necessary.
-Willingness and ability to dramatically change work practices and hours, and work with incoming surge teams, in the event of emergencies.
-A full appreciation of the value of co-operation within a team environment.
-Knowledge of local organizations in Palestine and capacity to develop strong coordination relationships
-Understanding of Save the Children’s vision and mission and a commitment to its objectives.
-Native Arabic and excellent communication skills (verbal and written) English Preferably.
-Computer literacy in Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel as well as email/internet
-Valid driving license
