A leading Consulting Engineering Firm working as a USAID contractor in the West Bank is seeking a qualified candidate for two positions one for Procurement Assistant ,and the other for a Junior Accountant the two positions are located in Ramallah.
1-Procurement Assistant :
Job Description:
• To provide assistance in all related procurement / compliance matters.
• To coordinate and carry out procurement of goods and services, under the supervision and guidance of the Business Manager.
• To prepare vendor agreements, purchase orders, and subcontracts for procurements and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
• To obtain appropriate bids and conducts all negotiations with vendors for provision of goods and services.
• To track procurement schedules, ensuring proper completion and filling of all procurement documents.
• To undertake any other administrative tasks required on behalf of the head of administration and finance.
• Perform other tasks as my required.
Requirements:
• University degree in Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent.
• Experience in using professional and transparent procurement policies and procedures in accordance with regulations especially USAID regulations.
• Experience in financial management of tendering process, including USAID procedures.
• Good understanding of contracting procedures, procurement regulations, and good understanding of the local market.
• Ability to work as a team member and under pressure
• Ability to prioritize and manage a high workload expeditiously.
• Excellent written and verbal English and Arabic.
• Excellent computer skills (Outlook, Microsoft Office, etc..)
2-Junior Accountant:
Job Description:
• Responsible for implementing USAID and MWH financial policies, procedures and regulation.
• The accountant is responsible to prepare the office payment and make sure from all the supporting documents before submit to Finance Manager for his approval.
• Review the petty cash report for MWH Office.
• Assist the finance Manager in preparing the monthly Vat reporting a timely manner and in accordance with USAID reporting requirements.
• Photocopy all the disbursement vouchers and transfer payment.
• Responsible for the safe guarding of data, financial records, and banking materials.
• Certify funds availability and supporting documentation for all payments.
• Maintain the finance department files in proper way.
• Prepare advances as approved by COP and issue collection notices for the settlement and follow up to clear advances on a monthly basis.
• Update the bank statement and inform the finance Manager of the fund balance on a daily basis.
• Track payments in order to avoid double payments.
• Ensuring timely payment of utilities, Vehicles lease and operation expenses.
• Assisting the Finance manager in the preparation of monthly Bank reconciliation.
• Report directly to the Finance Manager.
• Perform any task required by Finance Manager
