About TYO
Tomorrow’s Youth Organization is an American non-profit organization that works in disadvantaged areas of the Middle East, enabling children, youth and parents to realize their potential as healthy, active and responsible family and community members. With the support of Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) under the Bokrah Project, TYO is recruiting a highly qualified and motivated Academic Program Supervisor for academic intervention with youth 15-19 years old. The Academic Program Supervisor will support education at our flagship center in Nablus, Palestine.
Job Summary
The Academic Intervention Program Supervisor is responsible for the development, coordination, and evaluation of the academic education programs. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversight of Academic Educators to ensure execution of creative tools and activities with formal education school curriculum
- Planning and coordination with Volunteer Coordinator to provide ongoing support and classroom management to university student volunteers
- Work in close coordination with the Psychologist to ensure appropriate interventions with students and families
- Liaise with donors, local stakeholders, and international stakeholders
- Ensure project outcomes are met by identifying best practices, achievements, and priorities
- Evaluate program activities on an ongoing basis, conduct thorough monitoring and evaluation, and report findings to the Center Director (CD)
- Produce various online media products in coordination with the CD and US Coordinator for Operations
- Ensure that teachers are fulfilling responsibilities of job, displaying a high level of professionalism, and constantly working towards self-improvement and student progress
Primary Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Education, Curriculum Development, School Administration, or related field (MA is a plus)
- At least 5+ years administration experiencing working with middle and high school students
- Fluency in English and Arabic
- Experience designing curriculum
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Highly resourceful self-starter with initiative and excellent problem solving skills
- Creativity and positive energy for making a difference
