Full Time

SEC is a non-governmental, non-profit organization that was created by and for the private sector and focuses its activities primarily on the SME sector. SEC fulfills its vision by delivering services to SMEs in support of their growth and the expansion of their business potentials, including income increase and creation of employment opportunities.

Responsibilities:
1-Recording  and Bookkeeping  of   financial transactions includes  payments,  receipts and other  journal entries .
2-Finalizing the monthly financial reports, and prepare financial management reports.
3-Reconciling  monthly bank statements , and  managing  banking matters.
4-Compiling  and analyzing  financial information to prepare all financial statements.
5-Assist  in resolving accounting and financial problems and/or issues.
6-Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with policies and procedures.
7-Establish the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures.
8-Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities.
9-Contacts suppliers for price quotes; prepares requisitions and affixes authorizing signature before ordering.
10-Reviews, analyzes and approves all purchases where award is not made to the low bidder to ensure justification exists and policy is followed.
11-Reviews, analyzes, researches and approves purchases of a non-competitive nature.

Resolves problems and protests concerning bid solicitations, contract awards or contract performance as the need arises.
12-Addresses unauthorized purchases. Conveys decisions both verbally and in writing referencing law and policy.
13-Informs agency personnel of purchasing procedures and regulations; maintains purchasing records
14-Contacts vendors or agency representatives to obtain availability and product information or to solicit bids; develops requests for quotations; and confers with vendors concerning new products, damaged goods, delayed payments or related information.

Required Qualifications:
1- A Bachelors degree in Accounting.
2-From  1-2 years of increasingly responsible experience in the field of financial and administrative work.
3- knowledge of and experience in the NGO’s and donors regulations.

5-Knowledge of applicable accounting  laws, codes and regulations
6-Ability to gather information regarding the type and specifics of merchandise needed by the agency.
7-Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with vendors.
8-Ability to present detailed reports of findings and recommendations, both orally and in writing

Other abilities and Skills:
1- Ability to work without supervision and under pressure.
2- Proficiency with MS word, Excel and MS Power Point.
3-Strong analytic, personal and communications skills.
4-Very good in spoken and written English.
