The Palestinian Charity for Youth Engagement and Empowerment (CYEE) is a Palestinian NGO established to lead innovative and direct responses to the economic and social challenges that youth face, focusing on unemployment, barriers to entrepreneurship, civic engagement and advocacy.

- Accountant: Full time, based in Ramallah
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced accountant with a strong focus on reviewing and preparing the complete process of payments and financial claims. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the full payment cycle, including claims processing, and should be responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and prepare all payment and claim documentation.
- Ensure the accuracy and compliance of payment processes.
- Manage and oversee the full procurement process, including purchase orders, invoices, and vendor payments.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline payment and procurement processes.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation for audit purposes.
- working on Bisan accounting system and preparing checks
- working on the preparation of the monthly VAT and sub-award reports
- Assisting with the maintenance of accounting records and files, ensuring program administrative financial documents have appropriate supporting material; updating records as necessary; and keeping all financial and sensitive information confidential.
- Any other duties as assigned by Financial Manager.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in payment processing, claims management, and procurement.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong interpersonal communication, presentation, teamwork, and analytical skills.
- Previous experience working with USAID funded projects is highly desirable.
- Strong ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure under pressure, prioritize work, coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure.
