Accountant (Finance Assistant)

JOB SUMMARY
The Accountant shall assist in the day-to-day financial management through analyzing and monitoring of expenses. S/he shall prepare vouchers using accounting software (FinPack). S/he will also prepare cash flow documents, bank reconciliation, financial reports, and participate in the budget preparation and revision process.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
-Provide financial tracking, disbursement planning, cash flow analysis and project financing requirements.
-Assist in administrative and operational matters and ensure that payments, contract management, recruitment of personnel and local consultants, procurement of services and goods, asset management and disbursements of funds are undertaken according to QADER’s financial rules and regulations.
-Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
-Follow up with project coordinators/managers to submit monthly cash flow.
-Review and analyze the monthly transactions print out for accuracy, logic and completeness.
-Prepare all vouchers, checks and payment transfers, ensuring supporting documentation is included, correct and adheres to policies and procedures.
-Assist in the preparation of the monthly staff payroll, ensuring accuracy of all calculations including PNA Taxes and adherence to laws and regulations.
-Files supporting documentation as per finance procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
-At least one year of accounting and financial management experience.
-Good written and oral communication skills in Arabic and English.
-Excellent conceptual and analytical skills and demonstrable ability to think strategically, innovatively and practically to improve work quality.
-Critical information gathering abilities, conceptual and analytical thinking;
-Ability to handle multi-tasks in a fast paced environment.
-Ability to work with a team.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Application (Work, Excel, Power Point…)
