Job Description:
WeWorld-GVC (WW-GVC) is an independent Italian organization emerged from the union between GVC NGO (constituted in Bologna in 1971) and WeWorld (founded in Milan in 1999), with the aim of increasing.The impact of Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid projects in 29 countries, including Italy.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Finance Management
- Bookkeeping and Accountancy:
- Assist the Finance Coordinator in maintaining accurate records following WeWorld financial procedures for all projects in the area.
- Record daily transactions in the financial system and ensure the collection and control of supporting documents ;
- Ensure that the taxes and income tax obligations are met for both local staff and service providers;
- Preparing checks and bank transfers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal controls;
- Follow up with the Ministry of Finance regarding the VAT request and Vat exemption for the projects and suppliers;
- Documentation Control:
- Verify completion of documentation before and after payments, including contracts, VAT exemptions, invoices, payment authorizations, purchase orders, and procurement procedures.
- Ensure all project documents are properly archived and organized.
- Cash Management:
- Manage field office cash under the supervision of the Area Manager, including handling cash requests, following WeWorld procedures, and recording daily transactions.
- Maintain the daily cash book to track cash transactions accurately.
- Audit Support:
- Provide necessary documents, files, or information requested by the Finance Team for audit missions related to projects at the Ramallah Office.
- Accounting Folder Organization:
Print vouchers and organize accountancy folders by budget line in chronological order.

Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business
- At least 0-1 years of experience in relevant fields;
- NGO experience and knowledge of donor requirements is an asset;
- Valid Driving license; ability to move throughout all WB;
- Flexibility, organizational and coordination skills.
- Excellent English (oral and written)
