Procurement officer
For an initial 6 month period, renewable according to needs
Objectives of the position:
• Follow-up the procurement planning and procedures for the projects of the mission, covering 3 bases
• Create, develop and document the Purchase file of all procurement in the mission
• Assist and support the base logisticians in the implementation of the procurement procedures
• Implement all the Jerusalem based purchases in collaboration with the logistics team
• Develop and document a mission catalogue of prices and suppliers
• Provide support and when needed training to the base logisticians on procurement procedures
• Coordinating with the finance and administration department to ensure on time payment to the suppliers
• Writing weekly procurement reports on the status of all purchases
• University degree in logistics, procurement, engineering or related field
• 3-4 years of relevant professional experience in procurement or logistics, experience with an NGO is a plus
• Fluency in Arabic and English (spoken and written), Hebrew is a plus
• Strong computer skills, Excel and Word and knowledge of Access is a plus
• Motivation and commitment to humanitarian work
• Good interpersonal, analytical and communications skills
• Jerusalem ID Holder
