CMBM is an international humanitarian organization that works with health- and trauma-healing-related projects. CMBM responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore mental health, safety, education, and economic wellbeing, and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster.

CMBM adheres to the main principles of humanitarianism and medical ethics, in particular the principles of impartiality.

CMBM services are multisectoral, including Health, protection and education sectors. CMBM focuses on Healing the Wounds of War program with the various ministries and NGOs since 2005 to develop their psychosocial well-being, improve the resiliency of victims of war, heal war scars, and helping the helpers.

CMBM, as an implementing partner with UNICEF, is currently seeking an Admin & Finance Assistant for the “Integrated child protection interventions for the most affected children and caregivers in the Gaza Strip” Project.                                       

Job description:

Job title: Admin & Finance Assistant
Start date: ASAP
Location: Gaza
Post: Full-Time
Duration: 12 months, including a three-month probational period. (extension based upon the fund)

Job Purpose:

The admin & finance assistant will be responsible for managing the financial records for CMBM, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and donor requirements. This role involves maintaining financial documentation, processing transactions, assist in preparing financial reports, and support the overall financial management of the project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, receipts, invoices, and other documentation.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
  • Ensure payment and correspondent have electronic copies and saved and secured.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoices, payments, and receipts.
  • Monitor and reconcile bank accounts and other financial statements.
  • Manage the monthly petty cash and keep sufficient documentation for all transactions.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and budget reports.
  • Assist in the procurement procedure and the logistic issues
  • Preparing contracts for the vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Assist in audits by providing necessary and sufficient financial documentation and explanations.
  • Keep up to date with changes in financial regulations and ensure the organization’s practices are compliant.
  • Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets.
  • Prepare timesheets and salary slips for project staff.
  • Follow up and control the driver's and staff's movement.
  • Track expenses against budgets and provide variance reports.
  • Process payroll and ensure all employee payments are made accurately and on time.
  • Maintained payroll records and handled related queries.
  • Assist the Finance Manager in preparing financial reports for donors as per their requirements.
  • Ensure donor funds are utilized in compliance with agreements and restrictions.
  • Provide financial support and guidance to project teams.

متطلبات الوظيفة

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the NGO sector.
  • Knowledge of government procedures and Palestinian Taxes.
  • knowledge and experience of the QuickBooks accounting system is preferred
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
