A European Union mission work to support the Palestinian Authoritiy in Establishing sustainable and effective policing arrangements is advertising the following vacancy at the Head Quater office in Ramallah:
Administration Assistant
Job Description:
Under the overall supervision of the Head of Administration and Finance :
1-To perform administrative and secretrial duties,arrange meetings,draft itineraries,arrange accomodations and flights reservations,file documents,filing systems,both electronically and as hard copies and recorded data in appropriate database and files
2-Will be required to assist in the day organising of EUCOPPS Admin office as directed by the Head of the Administration and Finance and such other office duties as directed
Administrate leave requests, duty rosters, stationary requests, register and allocation files, etc.
3-To schedule appointments and meetings and maintain contacts, as necessary.
4-Process travel and other expenditure claims for EU COPPS staff.
5-Enter, maintain and certify administrative data and records for time and attendance, performance appraisal etc in electronic system
6-To maintain up-to-date work until files (both paper and electronics)
7-Organise itineraries and maintain office diary
8-Be prepared to carry out general management and other duties as required by the Head of Administration and Finance
Job Requirements:
-Bachelor or degree in Administration, Secretariat, Social Sciences or equivalent academic or professional training.
-At least 4 years of work experience as administrative assistant.
-Excellent level of written and spoken English and Arabic.
-A working knowledge in Hebrew an advantage.
-Excellent organisational, analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
-Excellent Computer skills required: MS Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word
-Ability to take initiative and careful attention to details.
-Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations as a team member in a multi-cultural,multi-ethnic environment.
-Ability to prioritize and manage a high workload on occasions.
-Detailed knowledge of large office administration is essential.
-Must have experience supported by reference
-Be available to work 40 hours/week (full time) with flexibility
-Proven track record of practical problem solving.
-Previous experience in an International environment
