The Guidance and Training Center for the Child and Family (GTC) is a mental health and special education services provider. GTC is a Palestinian nonprofit NGO located in Bethlehem.
Position: Administrative and Financial Director
Major Responsibilities:
1-Developing and enforcing policies, procedures, and financial and administrative regulations.
2-Prepare in coordination with the Director of Mental Health Services, developmental plans that
will help the organization achieve its goals effectively.
3-Oversee personnel files and see to it that they are continuously updated; supervise all employees,
and put plans and programs to train and develop staff members.
4-Manage expenditures according to budget and make sure that financial assets are spent in a good and effective manner.
5-Oversee the preparation of project financial and progress/narrative reports for submission to
donors, internal financial and administrative reports, and ensure a smooth and timely financial
audit.
6-Continuously monitor the working schedule of employees.
7-Supervise all expenditures including employee payroll, service bills, cost of materials purchased,
maintenance and other operational expenses.
8-Monitor the status of donated funds, health insurance, savings funds and bank accounts, sales,
fees collected and other income.
9-Plan and write the agendas, and participate and take minutes of the meetings of the board of
directors, in addition to following-up and execute their directions and decisions.
Qualifications:
1-At least B.A. in Business Administration, or related degree from an accredited university. An
MBA or other related masters degree is an advantage.
2-Administrative skills and knowledge of civil and NGO work. Not less than five years of proven
experience in the same or related field.
3-Good knowledge of computer applications especially Word & Excel and some accounting software. Good knowledge of using open source content management systems (CMS) for updating
the center’s website.
4-Experience in the preparation of project proposals and annual budgets, and project progress, narrative, yearly and final reports.
5-Experience in making financial and administrative reports, and has excellent conversation, writing
and communication skills in both Arabic and English.
